We will fabricate and machine parts made from the following materials. Your parts will be made with precision and exactly to your drawings and specifications.
Machinable Material Types:
-
-
- Brass Machining:
Brass has a high tensile strength and is easy to machine. This makes it ideal for intricate and low-friction parts, like locks, gears, valves and bearings. In addition, its high corrosion resistance makes it ideal for outdoor use such as plumbing components and marine applications. - Copper Machining:
Copper has unique benefits that make it a great CNC machining material and suitable for different applications, including good corrosion resistance, ductility, heat, and electrical conductivity and is very malleable. Precision parts can be produced with CNC Machining, insuring high consistency and accurate specifications. - Plastic Machining:
Plastic machining is a subtractive method of shaping and forming the end product by removing layers of material. While there are many different manufacturing processes that can be classified as plastic machining, the three most common techniques are turning, milling and drilling. - Stainless Steel Machining:
Stainless Steel Machining is a precise art and science. There are important facts about machining stainless steel you need to know. While stainless steel is simply that to most people, the term encompasses various grades of steel, each of which has a slightly different alloy composition, requiring different types of machining processes. - High Temperature & Special Alloy Machining:
Special or Super High-Temperature Alloys, are materials that must be machined at temperatures exceeding 1000˚ F (540˚ C). No other alloy system has a better combination of high-temperature corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and creep resistance. Because of these characteristics, these special alloys are widely used in aircraft engine components and in industrial gas turbine components for power generation. They are also utilized in petrochemical, oil, and other industries requiring their exceptional performance and characteristics. - Steel Machining:
Machinable steels are carbon steels that have sulfur, lead, bismuth, selenium, tellurium, or phosphorus added. Sulfur forms the compound manganese sulfide, which is soft and acts as a chip-breaking discontinuity. It also acts as a dry lubricant to prevent a built up edge on the cutting tool. Lead works in a similar way to sulfur. Bismuth achieves a free machining steel by melting into a thin film of liquid for a fraction of a microsecond to lubricate the cut. Other advantages to bismuth include: more uniformly distributed because of its similar density to iron; more environmentally friendly, as compared to lead; still weldable. - Titanium Machining:
Titanium is one of the fastest growing materials used in aerospace applications. The prime rationale for designers to chose titanium in their designs is its relative low mass for a given strength level and its relative resistance to high temperature. - Miscellaneous Other Materials:
There are a variety of other materials we are capable of machining not mentioned above.
Determining factors are the characteristics of he part and the materials requested.
